OUR MISSION
To provide a safe and caring home for girls who have undergone or who are at risk of experiencing sexual, physical, and emotional abuse.
To promote their recovery of physical, emotional and psycho-social health.
To protect and promote their rights and interests.
To offer job skill training and encourage economic independence.
OUR VISION
We envision a safe haven for girls to heal and thrive in vocational training. A center that stands beyond its walls and promotes awareness of the needed cultural changes against rape and other violent crimes. We envision a growing and thriving center where the staff earns a fair wage and the land and buildings are owned by the center. We also envision a self-sustaining center where the agriculture will help to support the day-to-day costs of operation.

We are getting excited about our trip to Meru in June 09!
I've been reading about all the wonderful things Kenya has to offer - incredible food, the friendly people, the beautiful bird and animal life. A newspaper has been recommended to me called the Daily Nation and the website if you are interested is www.nation.co.ke I know I will be checking it out regularly. The trip to Meru will be here before we know it and we have lots of planning and fundraising to do.
